Hannah Gadsby Announces 2022 Tour, Internet Loses Mind

A few years ago, Hannah Gadsby dazzled us with her stand-up show Nanette. It was an avant-garde performance unlike anyone had ever seen: an hour-long discussion covering sexism, homophobia, mental illness, disability, and sexual abuse that doubled as the comedian’s farewell to comedy.

And then, out of nowhere, it was a huge success. Three years, one stand-up special, and one Joey Soloway relationship later, Gadsby is back and ready to tour. Well, in 2022, that is.

Fans were indeed excited, even though 2022 is still quite far away and—for many Gadsby-heads—so is London.

But love finds a way. Gadsby’s new show Body of Work will continue exploring the themes of her past two specials. And if those specials are any indication, it’s going to be a night full of laughs, tears, and gay existential panic.

So far, only London dates are listed. Tickets go on sale at 10am on the 27th, so there’s a good chance more tour dates and locations will appear after then. Currently, Gadsby is touring Body of Work around Australia and New Zealand only. The comedian also recently married producer Jenney Shamash, so we can’t blame the newlyweds for wanting to keep it local for now.
