‘Crazy Ex-Girlfriend’ Reveals Third Bisexual Character

Rachel Bloom’s CW musical comedy, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend has become one of the best things about television today. The series covers mental health and many other important issues with hilarious original songs, performed by an exceptionally talented and diverse cast. It’s also one of the most LGBTQ inclusive shows on TV.

In season one, it was revealed that White Josh (David Hull) was gay. And after he sparked a relationship with Darryl Whitefeather (Pete Gardner), the latter came out as bisexual with the aptly titled track, “Gettin’ Bi.” In solidarity, Maya (Esther Povitsky) also came out as bi.

Queer and inclusive fans were recently pleasantly surprised when a third character was revealed as bisexual. Valencia Perez (Gabrielle Ruiz) was seen meeting her future girlfriend before an eight-month time jump, when being hired to plan a series of events for her. When the show returned from the jump, it was revealed that the two were now dating, which was refreshingly treated as no big deal from the other characters.

It’s a happy development for the character who was dumped by Josh Chan (out actor Vincent Rodriguez III) after competing for his affection with obsessed childhood romance, Rebecca (Bloom). Since event planning came as a coping mechanism for their breakup, fans are happy that it led to a new romance. Queer fans are even happier that it’s a same-sex relationship.

It’s been met with much love on Twitter.

We’re also here for the new same-sex power couple of West Covina. And we’re super excited for the potential lady love musical numbers.
