Adam Rippon keeps making Mike Pence look like a chump, and we are sooooo so so so here for it.

Remember last month when Rippon, a member of the U.S. Olympic figure skating team and the first openly gay athlete to represent the U.S. at the winter games, criticized the decision to have rumored hater of HIV/AIDS medical care funding Vice President Mike Pence lead the delegation in Pyeongchang?

Unrelated: You ever just think about how our Vice President’s name is just Mike?

Well, anyway, the xxXXdRaMaAaXXxx continues. According to a new report from USA Today columnist Christine Brennan, Pence was super upset after reading what Rippon told the press about him, which is understandable ‘cause the truth hurts.

Did Mike cry into his pet rabbit’s fur like a nerd? It’s pretty safe to assume that he did, but USA Today’s anonymous sources didn’t say. They did, however, claim that Pence’s staff reached out to Rippon to set up a conversation between the two and that Rippon declined.

Pence has denied every aspect of the story, from the invitation to meet with Rippon to the whole “wanted to divert funding for HIV/AIDS medical care in Indiana towards gay conversion therapy efforts.”

The ALLEGED!! virgin who ALLEGEDLY!! can’t drive doth protest too much, methinks.

Pence’s staff later released a statement, per The Guardian, claiming: “The vice-president’s office did not reach out to set up a conversation with Mr Rippon. As we’ve said before, the vice-president is supporting all the US athletes in the Olympics and is hoping they all win medals.”

I can’t believe the Vice President would lie like this! What kind of example is he setting for our children?

Rippon, meanwhile, has not commented on the report. At least not as of Thursday morning. I’ve reached out to the figure skater’s press rep, and I’ll update the story if I hear back.

Chump news aside, the Winter Olympics start tomorrow!! I had no idea until an hour ago. Rippon and fellow men’s singles figure skaters Vincent Zhou and Nathan Chen will be skating on Feb. 16 and 17. According to his Wikipedia page, Rippon has a signature move called “the Rippon Lutz,” which is a “3Lz-2T-2Lo combination” executed “with both arms above his head.” I have no idea what any of that means besides “arms” and “head.” Go skates!
