‘Tis the season for fattening foods, cheesy films, and religious zealots shoving their lifestyles down our throats. Yes, it’s that holy time that comes but once a year, when we celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ even though he was actually born in the summer and the holiday was just a Christian appropriated version of a Pagan tradition.
Still, we can’t deny how we love the story of Christ’s birth. You know, it’s when that Mary got knocked up, even though she claimed she was a virgin. And then three drag queens came with gifts galore, although one totally upstaged the others with gold.
At least that’s the way it’s told in “We Three Queens,” the new nativity-themed music video from Alaska, Peppermint, and Manila Luzon. The Drag Race alums put their queer spin on the religious classic that’s definitely going to become our new holiday favorite.
