Alexis Bledel Revealed That She Has Officially Pitched for ‘Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 3’

This week,The Handmaid’s Tale starAlexis Bledel made a stop over at The Tonight Show to have a conversation with Jimmy Fallon, who is apparently a Gilmore Girls super-fan.

After Fallon goes on about his favorite Gilmore Girls episode, he brings up Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants and how he adores the entire cast (which, alongside Bledel includes Blake Lively, America Ferrera, and Amber Tambyln). He then asks if there would ever be another movie, to which Bledel replies, “We just pitched a third movie. I hope it comes together. It would be so great.”

Fallon and the audience both cheered, and Bledel continued: “I really hope so. I would love it. It would be the best thing.”

The actress said it can be difficult to see herformer co-stars because of work and family, but they still hang out whenever they get the chance.

Now fans have time to speculate what the third film could be about. The 2008 sequel followed the young women after their first year of college, so this one could perhaps be about their late 20s/early 30s. Hopefully Bledel’s pitch meeting went well and fans won’t have to wonder for too long.
