Azealia Banks has done it again. In preparation for second studio album, Fantasea II: The Second Wave, she has released her second single, “Anna Wintour.”
First unveiling the song on Instagram, Banks writes that the song is “going to be the gay wedding anthem of Summer 2018.”
The song feels like a natural progression for Banks’ style, as it dips in and out of different genres that she’s done in the past. It has some lovely singing that we’ve heard in “212,” “Along the Coast,” and “Nude Beach a Go-Go,” among others. It’s not just singing, thoughshe’s got nice bars and even a screaming part that’s similar to “Yung Rapunxel.”
I didn’t think I could get more excited for Banks’ second album after “Movin’ On Up,” but here we are.
You can listen to “Anna Wintour” on Apple Music and Spotifynow.
