Our favorite foul-mouthed RuPaul’s Drag Race winner is back for another onscreen hate-fueled comedy. Since winning her season, Bianca Del Rio has kept us laughing with her hilarious stand-up and her instant cult classic, Hurricane Bianca. The film starred Del Rio as a gay teacher who gets fired from a conservative Texas school and comes back for revenge in full Bianca clown drag.
Del Rio returns next month for Hurricane Bianca: From Russia with Hate. After Bianca won over her school, her feud with Vice Principal Debbie Ward (Rachel Dratch) resulted in the latter ending up in jail. But when the disgruntled Ward is released, she concocts a plan to send her nemesis on a wild and dangerous journey into the bigotry-fueled Russia. When both of them have to rescue their loved ones from a Russian prison, they must put aside their differences to get them out.
Along with the return of Del Rio and Dratch come numerous celebrity cameos. The star-studded cast features Dot-Marie Jones, Cheyenne Jackson, Heather McDonald, Kristen Johnston, Janeane Garofalo, Wanda Sykes, Shangela, Darienne Lake, Kasha Davis, and Katya. Could you really have a Russian drag film without Katya?
Hurricane Bianca: From Russia with Hate premieres May 14 in San Francisco and New York, with nationwide screenings on May 15, 16, and 17. It will be released via digital platforms on May 18. Find tickets and more info at HurricaneBianca.com.
