Although Letitia Wright isn’t actually the genius little sister to an African superhero, she is cool enough to be. The young Black Panther star made a guest appearance on The Tonight Show to talk about her childhood in Guyana and Black Panther’s outrageous success. Wright told host Jimmy Fallon about how people don’t really shake her hand anymore, and instead cross their arms on their chest like how they great each other in the film.
In a segment of the show called “Wheel of Freestyle,” guests do a freestyle rap that needs to use three randomly generated words. Wright is up against Tariq (better known as Black Thought) from The Rootswhich, you know, isn’t the most fair match up. Wright’s rap is a little awkward, but charming. Her words:”Red Lobster” and, fittingly, “vibranium.”
Tariq is tasked to use “snuffleupagus” in a rhyme, and kills it. Then Fallon himself joins the game and gives out a rhyme that ends with the phrase “Cumber-bitches.”
You can watch Wright rap her heart out in the video below.
