Cardi B Guest Co-hosts The Tonight Show

Cardi B is currently doing press to promote her debut album, Invasion of Privacy, which was released last week. Instead of being a guest on The Tonight Show, however, Cardi was Jimmy Fallon’s co-host for the evening. She assisted in his monologue in a way that only she could by making funny faces and reacting to everything Jimmy said.

Special props to the producer who had the idea of putting some of the punchlines in text on the screen because they knew Cardi would talk too fast to understand.

Another highlight was a special segment where Jimmy asks for Cardi’s help in defining some of her catchphrases. For each one, Cardi had a feeling assigned to it, from “a sad cat going through pain” to “a cold pigeon.”

The best part of the show, by far, is watching Cardi interact with their actual guest for the night, John Mulaney. Mulaney’s entire brand of humor is based around being an awkward white guy who’s anxious about everything. He’s a storytelling comic, so to see him interact with the effortlessly hilarious Cardi B, it’s art.
