Gillian Anderson Poses Nude for PETA, Jokes She ‘Could Be With a Woman Next Year’

Earlier this week, everyone’s girl crush Gillian Anderson spoke to The Times Magazine and opened up about her experience with the volatility of long-term relationships in general. Anderson, who is currently in a relationship with The Crown’s creator Peter Morgan, joked, “I could be with a woman next year! Part of me looks long-term. As long as there’s always a back door.”

Anderson furthered that she believes people are “intersectional” and “complex” beings, and those factors have defined her experience with relationships. On her bisexuality, the twice-divorced actress said, “It’s just who I am. I have absolutely no issue with it whatsoever, and I don’t really care if other people have an issue with it.”

The X-Files star came out as bisexual in 2012 following the tragic death of her ex-girlfriend, and she never strays from playing queer characters (like the bisexual Stella Gibson on Netflix’s The Fall). She’s also had a lengthy, publicthough playfulflirtation with SNL’s Kate McKinnon, which has yet to be consummated, as Anderson has been dating Morgan since 2016. According to the actress, she’s happy to be dating someone in her industry, noting, “I’m constantly grateful for the symbiosis because I haven’t had that experience before.”

In other GA news, she posed for a new PETA UK anti-fur ad in which she bares all in the name of animals because she’s perfect.

“I found it liberating to use my body to make an important statement,” she said in a statement. “People tend to look away from anti-fur ads showing mangled animals, but they’re drawn to PETA’s ‘naked’ campaign, and I’m proud to be a part of it.”
