Kiyoko was joined by a team of male dancers as she sang to the song about an ex-lover who has moved on with a new boyfriend. It was one of the most lesbian moments in VMAs history.

Not long after, Cardi B took home the win for Best New Artist, just beating out Kiyoko. But since Kiyoko referred to Cardi as “Queen” earlier, she’ll probably bounce back from the loss.
