Here’s a Pic of 26-Year-Old Ian McKellen for You to Thirst Over

Move over, Young Joe Biden.

Ian McKellen, who has already played a role in many a geek’s role-playing fantasy due to his roles as Magneto in the X-Men franchise and Gandalf in the Lord of the Rings franchise, has set a trap for us all: a thirst trap.

The 78-year-old actor shared a waifish picture of him in dungarees wow, does anyone use that word? and a yellow polo standing somewhere between twink and twunk in front of the Chichester Festival Theatre in 1965 on Instagram. Beginning this weekend, McKellen will be on the stage as the titular role in Shakespeare’s King Lear.

McKellen came out about 30 years ago, which he said made him a better actor.

“I regret and always shall that I didn’t see the significance of coming out at a much earlier date because I think I would have been a different person and a happier one,” he told the Daily Mail.

What do you think? Would you make a fellowship with you and McKellen’s two towers?
