Attention all those who occupy the Venn diagrammatic center of the converging circles we call “Samira Wiley stans” and “The Handmaid’s Tale viewers”: Please gird yourselves for what you are about to witness!

Hulu has released a 30-second teaser trailer for season two of their serial adaptation of Margaret Atwood’s dystopian 1985 novel. It’s not beautiful, it’s not perfect, and it doesn’t look like Valentine, but it gives us the briefest of brief looks at what Wiley’s Moira will get up to in the second season (SPOILERS, MY FRIEND).

According to the teaser, Moira isshaking and cryingsomewhere. Is it a flashback to one of the times she was captured after an unsuccessful escape? Is it a glimpse at her life in Canada post season one?

Guess we’ll just have to wait for the second season to premiere Wednesday, April 25, on Hulu to find out.

In an ABC News interview from last October, Wiley, who married Orange is the New Black writer Lauren Morelli in 2017, did say that season two of The Handmaid’s Tale would take viewers inside “the colonies,” the place where “women are sent, classified as un-women, where they supposedly go and die.”

“We’re not just going to talk about that this season, we’re going to go there. We’re going to see what’s that life and meet those women and see what their day-to-day lives are like,” said Wiley. “It’s going to be darker guys, I’m sorry.”

Wellat least we know that.
