In this day and age, it’s perfectly fine and acceptable to be weird with your friends online. Some have made an entire career of it! That said, it’s a well-established truth that the Internet never sleeps, and today’s weird, buzzed 3am comment will absolutely not escape notice, even if you delete it after.
This is a lesson that breakout Fifth Harmony singer Camila Cabello learned all too recently. Over the weekend, the “Havana” singer showed love to her friend Olivia Rodrigo on the release of the pop superstar’s deluxe edition of Guts. But the way she showed that love still has people talking, even after Cabello amended the comment.

If someone says these words, they just might be gay
Gay guys sounded off on which words immediately let them know another person is gay — and which words mean someone is painfully straight.
“you’re gorgeous the deluxe is perfect and your armpits are stunning bye,” Cabello wrote on Rodrigo’s Instagram post, which showed the Guts singer wearing a cowboy hat with the words “Guts” emblazoned on it.

Now we in the gay community know that a nice armpit is nothing to sneeze at. Perhaps it’s something to sneeze into, but that’s another discussion for another time. But to see Cabello—whose new album is soon to drop, allegedly—thirsting after her friends armpits on main is quite something. Do we think there’s anything actually sapphic in this statement? Probably not. But is it delightfully weird and more than a little bit flirty? Yes.
Before Cabello could edit the comment into something less armpit-centric, Pop Base picked up the news.
And so did everyone else.
Now everyone’s wondering the same thing…what exactly is going on?
Is this part of a marketing stunt to get people to stream Camila’s forthcoming album? Or is she truly part of the pit brigade?
The first rule of pit club is you don’t talk about pit club…on main.
I mean, obviously we’re used to comments about men’s salty pits…but are we entering a sapphic pit appreciation period? Is this the true cultural impact of Love Lies Bleeding?
The people are calling it lesbian Saltburn.
All in all, it was just another day on the Internet.
