Hot off the casting announcement that the out queer actress will lead the upcoming 2019 Charlie’s Angels movie, a new trailer for Lizzie dropped — and it’s sizzling with longing lesbian stares and smooching.
Lizzie tells the harrowing true story of the enigmatic Lizzie Borden, the woman at the center of one of the longest lasting American mysteries. Chloë Sevigny takes the titular role while Stewart plays Bridget Sullivan, a housemaid who becomes intimate with Lizzie, and the two become (alleged) accomplices.
To add to the spookiness of the trailer’s release, tomorrow marks the 126th anniversary of the axe murder of the Borden family.
Lizzie hits theaters Sept. 14.
