RuPaul Is Bringing His Pop Psychology to Daytime TV

You and your inner saboteur have a new favorite television show. Drag Race host RuPaul will soon have his very own daytime talk show, Variety reports.

The Emmy-winning host’s new show is being produced by Telepictures, the syndication production arm of Warner Bros. also behind Ellen Degeneres’ talk show and The Real.

According to Variety, the show will see Ru bring his “unique, positive and aspirational point of view to the format,” and will feature celebrity interviews, beauty tips, games and dishing on pop culture.

So, here’s the tea.

It’s no secret that, while Drag Race is more popular than ever, RuPaul himself has been the subject of a lot of controversies lately. Given his past transphobic comments, will this show dig the hole even deeper or be a sort of image rehab? As polished as he is on Drag Race, RuPaul tends to go off the rails a little bit when left to his own devices.

Michelle Visage will also play a major role in the show.

This is not the only iron in the fire that RuPaul has when it comes to TV. He also has an upcoming Netflix comedy series, “AJ and the Queen,” as well as a Hulu series based on his life.

At least Ru is getting his coin.
