Carrie has finally declared that She’s With Her.
On Thursday, actress Sarah Jessica Parker took to Instagram to declare her support for her Sex and the City co-star Cynthia Nixon’s bid for New York state governor.
After listing everything Nixon embodies “A mother, an activist, an advocate, a fighter, a NY’er, a dear friend” Parker said in no uncertain terms, “You have my love, support and vote.”
Parker is the second member of the Sex and the City cast to support Nixon’s bid with enthusiasm. In true Charlotte York fashion, Kristin Davis supported Nixon the day she announced her gubernatorial bid. (Though, Charlotte may have preferred if Nixon were a Republican.)

I am so proud of @CynthiaNixon , no one cares more than she does about EVERY person getting a fair change and a good education. I know that she would be an excellent Governor ! https://t.co/xEAyRxFBb8

For contrast, Kim Cattrall was less enthusiastic about Nixon. When a fan on Twitter asked Cattrall about Nixon’s run, she responded, “I support & respect any former colleague’s right to make their own career choices.”

Cuomo currently leads Nixon among New York City Democrats in the polls. Some members of the Democratic establishment have been cold to Nixon, including out lesbian mayor also-ran Christine Quinn, who called Nixon an “unqualified lesbian,” which led to the making of some unauthorized merch.
Anyway, happy to see friends showing up for friends!
