It’s safe to say we’ve come to peace with the fact that a proper Spice Girls reunion is just not in the cards. An animated superhero film is better than nothing, but it appears that we may never see all five women rocking platforms and singing for girl power.
Although Posh might be the last roadblock toward a real reunion, at least her fellow bandmates and the fight for girl power are still on her mind. Victoria Beckham has recently released a limited-edition Spice Girls t-shirt. It features an iconic image of the group in black and white with red noses.
The shirt is part of Red Nose Day USA. For $35, all net proceeds of the shirt benefit the organization’s fight to end child poverty. Beckham has been an avid supporter of the cause since it began in the United Kingdom, before ultimately launching in the United States.
Beckham can be seen modeling the shirt on Instagram. In the caption, she explained her passion for the cause, which brought her on a recent trip to Kenya.
“I travelled to Kenya and saw amazing programs supported by Red Nose Day USA,” she writes in the caption. “Girls in these programs are using boxing classes to not only learn self-defense, but also leadership – tapping into their girl power. I was so inspired by the young women I met there. And it’s not just about being strong in the ring; these girls are future doctors, lawyers, and all-around game changers who write their own stories, and will shape the futures of their communities. That’s girl power.”
