We Heart Trixie & Katya!

· Updated on May 28, 2018

Not since RuPaul and Michelle Visage has there been a RuPaul’s Drag Race duo that we love so much. We’re talking, of course, about Trixie Mattel and Katya, both alums of Drag Race season 7 and stars of the new show The Trixie & Katya Show, premiering on VICELAND November 15 with episode 1 here onINTO.

Since 2015, Trixie and Katya have been a mainstay on our Twitter feeds and in our hearts. Whether they’re competing on Drag Race, punning on “UNHhhh!,” their YouTube hit series, or slaying us in their IRL gigs, these queens have made us fall deeply in love with them. How deep, you say? Ohh honey. Here’s a list of the top moments that made us love Trixie & Katya.

The RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars 2 Talent Show

Katya’s acrobatic skills made her a more-than-formidable lip sync opponent. And while we loved her splits and tricks when she was in trouble of going home, they were even better when they helped showcase that season seven’s Miss Congeniality was packing loads of talent.

Trixie Mattel’s “Read U Wrote U” Parody

Part of why we love Trixie Mattel is that she, like All Stars 2 winner Alaska Thunderfuck, is a Drag Race superfan and herstorian. Nowhere is her talent and knowledge better in sync than her parody of All Stars 2 rap, “Read U Wrote U,” which incorporates a surprise Tyra Banks tribute in the song’s final verse.

Katya’s Bjork impression

First birthed in season 7 during the red carpet mini-challenge, Katya’s Bjork impression made a big comeback in All Stars 2 and propelled her to win Snatch Game, even if she did end up losing to Alaska in the Lip Sync for Your Legacy.

Katya & Trixie’s “Lipdub” episode of “UNHhhh!”

Seeing as RuPaul’s Drag Race is the show that made them famous, seeing Trixie and Katya skewer the program (with love!) will always be a good time. And, it’s always lovely to see the two cracking each other up nonstop.

Trixie’s Reading Skills

After returning in the previous episode, Trixie Mattel came back with a vengeance on RuPaul’s Drag Race’s seventh season. In her first episode back, she won the Reading Is Fundamental mini challenge and left us wondering Did Ginger Minj ever save Carol Anne from the Poltergeist in the TV?

Katya’s All Stars 2 “Read U Wrote U” Rap

It’s the verse that launched a million tweets and memes. It’s i-c-o-n-i-c. It has a whole four bars dedicated just to saying her name. Katya’s verse will always go down as the most entertaining in “Read U Wrote U” and one that made her the biggest threat to Alaska’s crown.

Trixie’s “Ohh honey!” West Hollywood Gay Impression

No two words have so invaded queer lexicon like “Ohh honey!,” Trixie’s recurring verbal gag from the duo’s comedy stand up series, “UNHhhh!” Originally began as an impression of gay men living in West Hollywood, California, the phrase has taken on a life of its own and can be heard at almost any brunch table.
