If you ask Wendy Williams, loose lips sink friendships. And Patti LaBelle should’ve kept her mouth shut.
During Thursday’s broadcast, Williams chastised LaBelle for speaking up about her friend Luther Vandross’s sexuality on Watch What Happens! Live with Bravo executive Andy Cohen.
“Andy can ask, but she should’ve said no comment,” Williams told her live audience. “He wasn’t my friend. But, it’s not okay to talk about it when it’s your best friend. You know? It’s like a violation.”
On the segment with Cohen, LaBelle said that Vandross never came out because he didn’t want to disappoint his female fans or his mother. And while Williams thought it was OK for Cohen to go there, not everyone agrees with her.
