OK, let’s just say it: there are probably more Sanderson sisters than there are people who want to see a Hocus Pocus remake featuring zero members of the original cast.
And yet, that’s exactly what we’re getting. According to Deadline, Disney Channel is in the early stages of developing a “reimagining” ugh of the 1993 cult classic with a new cast and new director.
What’s most confusing about this whole catastrophe is that several members of the original cast have said that they’d gladly be a part of a sequel.
“I think we’ve all been fairly vocal about being very keen, but that hasn’t created any ground swell of movement,” Sarah Jessica Parker said in an interview with Andy Cohen.
What must we do to make this stop? Do we need a virgin to light something?
Let’s just forget this is happening and listen to Sarah Jessica Parker sing “Come Little Children,” don’t you agree?
