Nearly two years after filming a live special, Lady Gaga has shared the trailer for her much anticipated Gaga Chromatica Ball. Following such a long wait, the live concert recording is coming to viewers at lightning speed, with release date scheduled for later this month.

The original Chromatica Ball performance was filmed back in September 2022 at the Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles. “In front of a sold-out crowd of 52,000 people, 13-time GRAMMY® and Academy Award® winner Lady Gaga delivers a career-defining performance,” a press release from Warner Bros Discovery reads.

“GAGA CHROMATICA BALL delivers breathtaking live performances of some of Gaga’s biggest and most cherished hits, including ‘Stupid Love,’ ‘Bad Romance,’ ‘Just Dance,’ ‘Poker Face,’ ‘Shallow,’ ‘Rain On Me,’ and more.”

“The film delivers huge show-stopping moments and intimate piano numbers, complete with heart-stopping choreography, intense pyrotechnics and an array of iconic outfit changes as only Gaga does.”

Lady Gaga—who created, directed, and produced the special—shared a heartfelt message on social media along with the trailer. “This film chronicles a time of immense creativity…the fashion, the dance, the music,” she wrote. “Revisiting the tour leaves me speechless the way we had each other—you all showed up for music and art in a big way, and with a level of excitement and freedom that I will never forget. Stadium after stadium. Sold out crowds. The deafening singalongs.”

“Chromatica was colorful revenge. The chaos of it all became pure energy and life. With a texture best experienced live.”

Lady Gaga also highlighted the themes behind her music, which though applicable for the broader audience, queer fans have always resonated with. “Self-acceptance is a theme that cuts through all my songs,” she said. “I believe it is always possible to dig deep and find your greatness. Self-discovery is an art. Self-love is a practice.”

Gaga Chromatica Ball will be available May 25, airing on HBO at 8pm and streaming on Max.
