Beyoncé is known for dropping clues from her upcoming music eras and the BeyHive thinks they’ve confirmed Act III from this speech.
Beyoncé’s Cowboy Carter has the world in a frenzy since its release. And Queen Bey is stirring up even more commotion from her rare public appearances, as of late. Now, in her latest appearance, fans think that the “Texas Hold ‘Em” singer hinted at what her next album will sound like.
Beyoncé was honored at the 2024 iHeartRadio Music Awards with the Innovator Award. The superstar accepted the award from music icon Stevie Wonder (who also plays the harmonica on Cowboy Carter‘s “Jolene“) and gave a speech thanking icons like Wonder, Prince, and country legend Linda Martell, who also appears on the album. But one person she gave thanks to made fans believe that Act III is definitely a rock album.
The “16 Carriages” singer thanked Sister Rosetta Tharpe, known as the “original soul sister” and the “Godmother of rock and roll. Tharpe was a pioneer in the use of the electric guitar in gospel, with music that influenced Elvis Presley, Little Richard, and Johnny Cash. Not to mention, she help popularized spiritual music into the mainstream space.
