Australian basketball pro and former NBA player Isaac Humphries made headlines last year when he came out as gay.
However, his prowess on the court is not his only talent. His other major asset is his voice.
In a career move that may surprise some, this week he dropped an EP of holiday songs. He shared the news and artwork with his Instagram followers.

It’s not actually Humphries’ first foray into music. He sang a cover of Lewis Capaldi’s song “Bruises” in 2022 with the band Germein. Earlier this year, he released a solo track called “Be Alright”. He’s also gearing up to perform live, with two shows planned next year at the Adelaide Fringe Festival.
Apparently, singing was Humphries’ first love but he switched to basketball when he shot up in height and showed a talent for the sport.
“For about 10 years now I’ve been trying to convince everybody that I can do both [careers] and music can work in my basketball life,” he told ABC.
“After a lot of convincing, I think I’m, like, so close to people thinking that, you know, OK he can play very high-level basketball and also do very high-level music.”
Humphries is 6’11”. He went viral last year with a video of himself coming out to his teammates in the locker room. He played for Melbourne United at the time.

“I have hidden something about myself my whole life, from everyone I love, and even myself sometimes,” he told them. “It is a truth about myself that I have wanted to deny for a long time, but now I feel comfortable in telling you all. That truth, is that I am gay.
“I have been through extremely dark times during this journey, but I have been through so much growth, and I am now happy with who I am.”
