The First Trailer for “My Fake Boyfriend” Just Hit and We’re Shook

Well fellow stans, today is our lucky day: the long-awaited Lonsdale vehicle My Fake Boyfriend just dropped its first official trailer and it’s like the sun finally peeked through the clouds. 

If you’ve ever dealt with wishy-washy significant others, f*ccbois, or any manner of mind games via dating, this movie is the cri de coeur you’ve been waiting for. 

The plot in brief: Andrew (Keiynan Lonsdale) is having the same problem so many of us are constantly having. He’s got an on-again, off-again ex who he just can’t get away from, despite said ex’s horrible treatment and chronic philandering. So what does Andrew do? Enlist his friend (a very blonde Cole Sprouse) in making him the perfect fake boyfriend. But what starts a mission to stoke the toxic ex’s jealousy ends up becoming a mess of gargantuan proportions: especially after the fake boyfriend starts making waves on social media.

In the midst of all this, Andrew meets a hot chef who might actually be good for him. But he’s already dating…you know…the fake boyfriend. So how do you break up with someone who doesn’t exist? How do you develop the self esteem to go after an actual mensch when you’ve spent forever with someone who won’t treat you with the bare minimum of respect required?
