A Pop-Cultural Bridal Gown Mood Board For Meghan Markle

· Updated on May 28, 2018

That dull roar you’ve been hearing off in the distance all morning is the sound of a couple hundred million heterosexuals going absolutely fucking nuts.

Why? Because Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are engaged. And if there’s one thing straight people love more than talking about the shared Bachelor Cinematic Universe, it’s royal weddings.

The couple announced their engagement in London Monday morning, Reuters reports. Markle, known for her role on American TV show Suits, told photographers that she is “so very happy” about the engagement. Harry, known for being Prince Harry, said that he is “thrilled, over the moon.”

Meghan and Harry are reportedly set to wed in the spring of 2018, which begs the question: How will they have a wedding when the world is engulfed in flames and melted glaciers? Also: What will she wear????

Per People, Markle told Glamour in 2016 that Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy’s wedding dress is “everything goals.” With all due respect to both Meghan and CBK, we disagree! In fact, here are five alternative bridal gowns that we here at INTO think Markle should consider before settling on something flawless and perfect that none of us could never afford:

Four words: Val. En. Ti. Na.

Or what about Lydia Deetz’s crimson fantasy in tulle and lace from Beetlejuice?

She could always go in another direction when figuring out her “Bride” look…

But maybe instead of a yellow tracksuit, she could go with something unexpected and showstopping that isn’t a yellow tracksuit like Solange’s floor-length cape.

Honestly, just go full backwards white suit Céline.
