Earlier this year filmmaker Sam Douek shined a spotlight on the dreamy, delirious afterdusk of queer Los Angeles in his video portrait LA Nights.
Now he’s turned the lens on his very own London for a new video that celebrates the city’s resilient nightlife in the face of rising rents and shuttered safe spaces.
“London Nights is a visual poem exploring London’s underground queer scene, which thrives despite having faced adversity in recent years following a mass wave of LGBTQ venue closure.”
