Cardi B explains why she won’t be voting in this election

Cardi B is not alone when she describes “layers and layers of disappointment” over the Biden’s administration’s handling of foreign policy, and she’s had enough. After announcing last year that she would not back Biden, Cardi B has reaffirmed that she will not be casting a vote at all this coming November.

Cardi B originally endorsed Bernie Sanders in the 2020 election before endorsing Biden after he became the official presidential nominee—both of whom she conducted live interviews with. Even back then, her support of Biden was far from enthusiastic. “I’m just gonna go with Joe Biden because I cannot see the next step of America being ran by number 45,” she said in reference to Trump during an Instagram video documenting her voting process.

But in a recent profile with Rolling Stone, Cardi B revealed how that lack of enthusiasm has turned sour. “I feel like people got betrayed,” she said, describing her main issues with the administration as “domestic and foreign mismanagement.”

“It really gets me upset that there is solutions to it,” she said. “There is a solution. I know there’s a solution because you’re spending billions of dollars on any f*cking thing.”

Cardi B then got more specific, despite her feeling that artists of color could get “blackballed” for speaking on the genocide. “[America] don’t pay for endless wars for countries that have been going through sh*t for a very long time,” she said.

“There’s countries [where] kids are getting killed every single day, but because the [U.S.] won’t benefit from that country, they won’t help,” she added. “I don’t like that America has this superhero cape on. We never did things to be superheroes. We did things for our own convenience.”

As to which nominee she would be supporting instead, Cardi B was crystal clear: “I don’t f*ck with both of y’all.”

Cardi B made similar comments last November, when she announced that she would no longer be supporting Biden over recent budget cuts in New York City. “I’m not endorsing no f*cking presidents no more, because how is there a $100 million budget cut in New York City for f*cking schools, library, police safety, and sanitation?” she said.

“Yet, Joe Biden is talking about like, ‘Yeah, we could fund two wars. We could fund two wars.’ Motherf*cker is talking about, ‘We don’t got it, but we got it, and we’re the greatest nation.’ No the f*ck we’re not! We’re going through some sh*t right now!”
