TikTok superstar Noah Beck’s sexuality has long been the subject of speculation from fans, and his weekend at Coachella raised eyebrows once again.
On Instagram, Beck posted a video of himself and fellow influencer Carter Gregory dancing at the music festival, which showed Gregory hugging Beck around the neck. Coupled with another picture of the two shirtless where Beck is kissing Gregory on the cheek, the internet quickly assumed that the two must be dating.
But Beck took to Instagram again to shut those rumors down. On his story, he posted a selfie with the caption, “Y’all don’t be hugging ur friends???”

Indeed, Beck and Gregory are just that: friends. It’s not the first time Beck has had to defend his sexuality, or his right to privacy from fan speculation.
Last summer, Beck’s sexuality was called into question again when he posted a video of him dancing with a singer in the Bahamas. While caressing Beck’s face, the singer said, “I know you’re gay, just go with it,” to which Beck laughed and turned away.
People took Beck’s positive reaction as proof that he was, in fact, gay — a claim he gave a hard “no” to in an interview on the Zach Sang Show.
“People were like, ‘Is this a coming out video?’ And I was like, “No, it’s just a funny video,’” Beck said. “I grew up with two sisters, I grew up playing soccer, and I grew up in a very female-dominated household. I’m just not afraid to be in touch with my feminine side.”
The new incident with Gregory is just another example of why fans need to let celebrities come out on their own terms (if they’re even queer in the first place). Beck may be famous, but like anyone, his sexuality is nobody’s business but his own.
