Hayley Kiyoko Joins Taylor Swift Onstage For Surprise ‘Reputation’ Tour Performance

“Lesbian Jesus” Hayley Kiyoko joined Taylor Swift on stage last night, surprising the Boston crowd at Gillette Stadium. The duo performed Kiyoko’s song “Curious,” complete with Kiyoko’s choreography, high energy beats, and even some sexual tension.

“UM @hayleykiyoko THAT WAS INSANE!! Thank you so much for coming to surprise the crowd tonight at @gillettestadium – THAT WAS SO MUCH FUN!!!! So stoked this was your first stadium performance, and you absolutely killed it 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉,” Taylor wrote on Instagram.

Back in April, Kiyoko and Swift crossed paths after the “Look What You Made Me Do” singer came to Hayley’s defense regarding homophobia in the music industry. Speaking to Refinery29, the queer pop star said she faces discrimination from music video executives, who have asked her, “You’re doing another music video about girls?” To which Kiyoko replied, “Taylor Swift sings about men in every single song and video, and no one complains that she’s unoriginal.”

Taylor spoke out in support of the “Curious” singer, taking to social media to write, “We should applaud artists who are brave enough to tell their honest romantic narrative through their art, and the fact is that I’ve never encountered homophobia and [Hayley] has. It’s her right to call out anyone who has double standards about gay vs straight love interests.”

The Reputation Stadium Tour continues tonight with Swift’s second of three dates at Gillette Stadium. She wrote in an Instagram post, “So wait… we get to play 2 more nights at @gillettestadium ??! Sounds fake?!? You guys were UNREAL tonight. We can’t wait to see you again, and again after that.”
