Over the last few months, Beyoncé has lent her vocals to Kamala Harris’ whirlwind campaign. Now, as the election cycle draws to a close, Beyoncé is lending her voice in person, joining forces with the Vice President at an upcoming rally.
On Friday, October 25, the 32-time Grammy Award-winning artist and Houston native is set to join Harris on stage at a rally in her hometown. According to the Associated Press, Beyoncé will be joined by her mother, Tina Knowles, and country music legend Willie Nelson.

The news comes from anonymous sources close to the campaign, with neither the Beyoncé nor the Harris teams making an official announcement. That means the nature of Beyoncé’s involvement is still under wraps, but attendees can bet on a show-stopping performance of “Freedom.”

Rumors have circulated that Beyoncé would appear at a Harris event for months, to the point that the singer’s team had to publicly speak out false reports that a performance was slated for the Democratic National Convention in August. With little over a week left in the election, those rumors are finally coming to fruition in Houston.
Although the Harris team has been largely focusing on swing states over the last few weeks, they are making a pit stop in Texas to highlight the abortion rights under assault in the deeply red state. The rally will also boost the campaign for Rep Colin Allred, who is running for incumbent Ted Cruz’s seat in the Senate.
Beyoncé’s “Freedom” has become the anthem of the Harris campaign, underscoring their message of equality and preservation of democracy. In addition to granting permission to use the song, Beyoncé has contributed millions to securing a promotion for the Vice President.
Throughout her career, Beyoncé has supported Democratic presidential candidates in various ways. In 2013, she sang the national anthem at Barack Obama’s inauguration. In 2016, she headlined a pre-election concert with Jay-Z to benefit the Clinton campaign. And in 2020, she publicly endorsed the Biden/Harris ticket. Now she’s ramping up her support with a full blown appearance at a presidential rally.
That same week, Trump is also visiting Texas (in Austin), where he will be taping a podcast interview with Joe Rogan. Aside from Kid Rock, multiple musicians have demanded that Trump cease using their music, from Rihanna to Sinéad O’Connor’s estate.
