Chappell thinks that everyone should be single — even though she’s currently in a serious relationship, as she revealed on a new episode of Call Her Daddy.
Roan was extolling the virtues of being single on the popular podcast when host Alex Cooper asked if she herself was single. To that, Roan laughed at the irony before eventually saying a simple “no.”
Roan went on to share the duration of the relationship — “six months” — and that it’s definitely not casual — “It’s serious. I’m very in love.”
Still, Roan held firm in her belief that being single is the way to go. “But I am pro-single! Everyone should be single! I’m serious,” she said. “Stop dating. Be single. Have a great time alone. Find out for yourself if you can 100% be okay alone before you date. That’s what I found out. I had a great time when I was single, and I know that I will be okay. And now I have an awesome time [now] that I’m with someone.”

Roan added that she met her current girlfriend through a mutual friend, though “it wasn’t a set-up,” and that she made the first move. She also shared that the relationship began before her meteoric rise to fame last year: “I haven’t dated someone since this all really, really blew up. I’m dating the same person that I was dating before I blew up.”
“I’m not sure how I would date now. I think it would actually be a nightmare. I think I would be so f*cking single right now,” Roan mused. “I’m scared. I don’t trust anyone. I just think in my head, I’m like, any new person that I’m texting, I’m like, I’m assuming they will screenshot this and send it to someone else.”
Though Roan is happily in love, she humored Cooper and answered some questions about her taste in women.
“As far as looks and stuff, I don’t really have a type,” Roan began. “But I love art girls, weird art girls, girls who love to read. I’d probably like a girl that collects things and is okay with an exotic pet, owned a hamster one time and would own one again, doesn’t give a f*ck about their car, will pick up a worm, is not scared of bugs and snakes, can get down watching a foreign film, would be okay having zero plan.”

Cooper also asked Roan if she any “immediate dealbreakers” when it comes to a romantic interest.
“Car sh*t,” Roan quickly replied — earlier in the episode, she revealed that her ex-boyfriend is the only person she knows who signed up for the presale for Elon Musk’s Tesla Cybertruck.
“Bad breath. Chewing with their mouth open is cray-cray. People who don’t tip. That freaks me out. If they treat their waiter bad, I will never talk to them the same,” she continued. “I don’t like when they talk about their exes badly, or the women in their family badly. I don’t date men anymore, but that was a common thing.”
“I think their music taste says a lot,” Roan added. “If someone doesn’t like Beyoncé, that says a lot more than what I need.”
