Jonathan Bailey’s one of Hollywood’s biggest heartthrobs, and in a new interview, he proved that’s not the only mantel he’ll happily take on.
In an interview with Pedestrian, a journalist told Bailey and his Wicked co-star Jeff Goldblum she was honored to be in the presence of “a daddy” and “a zaddy.”
Bailey accepted being called a zaddy without question: “Big time zaddy,” he said. But as Goldblum expressed confusion, Bailey admitted he wasn’t up on his gay terminology either: “Actually, what does ‘zaddy’ mean?” he asked.
The interviewer explained that a zaddy is an “elder gentleman who is really charismatic and dresses really nicely.” To us, that description sounds more daddy than it does zaddy, and Bailey seemed inclined to agree.

Related“It’s giving tushy”Is Jonathan Bailey a twink? The answer, of course, is no, but that isn’t stopping the internet from fiercely debating it.
“I’m a daddy, yeah,” he said, part confirmation for the audience and part vocab lesson for Goldblum. “I’m a very young daddy. I’ve got nine children. They’re all exactly the same age, yeah.”
Goldblum also chimed in on Bailey’s daddyhood: “Fertile as the Nile Delta, I call him,” he said.
Bailey, of course, doesn’t have any actual children. “The only baby I gave birth to is this film,” he continued, throwing an arm around Goldblum. “We’re proud parents, aren’t we?”
Fans were beside themselves at the clip, saying that hearing Bailey calling himself a daddy only made their celebrity crushes stronger.
Meanwhile, in another interview with Goldblum, Bailey gave us an update on that infamous picture he took wearing nothing but the boots from his Wicked costume — a picture he’s sadly doubled down on keeping out of the public eye.
“That’s all I had to wear, so I just popped them on, and I thought I’d document it,” Bailey explained. “I’ve also locked my iCloud and I’ve put two-factor authentication on there.”
