Denzel Washington is more than just a bisexual icon on screen: He’s the father to queer film producer Katia Washington, who stunned on the red carpet at The Critics Choice Association’s Celebration of Black Cinema & Television, alongside her gorgeous wife.
Washington and wife Colleen Wilson, a former ballet dancer, took to the carpet together, with Washington rocking a brown suit and Wilson slaying in a poofy black dress. The internet was immediately obsessed with the couple, due in no small part to their height difference: According to blogger Sandra Rose, Wilson stands at 6’4 compared to Washington’s 5’2.
Needless to say, the sapphics of the internet were jealous of the pair. “There is not a single more blessed person in the universe,” reads one viral post. Indeed, Washington seems to have it all: a flourishing Hollywood career (this year, she executive produced the Netflix adaptation of The Piano Lesson, which starred her brother John David Washington and was directed by her other brother Malcolm Washington) and a swoon-worthy marriage to go with it.

Meanwhile, her father Denzel is bringing queer rep to the silver screen in Gladiator II, where he played the messy bisexual nobleman Marcinus. Last month, he lamented having a gay kiss cut from the movie.
“I actually kissed a man in the film, but they took it out. They cut it. I think they got chicken,” Washington said at the time. “I kissed a guy full on the lips, and I guess they weren’t ready for that yet. I killed him about five minutes later, but! It’s Gladiator. It’s the kiss of death.”
The film still had plenty for queer fans to enjoy, but Denzel’s gay kiss was still missed. Luckily, we have Katia giving us more than enough queer joy in real life to make up for it.
