This vintage photo of two legends is peak bisexual chaos

These days, I find myself spending more and more of my time on Reddit, because I’m mentally ill. It’s also because Reddit is increasingly the place where you can find signs of intelligent life and hope for humanity, often in the form of photos of animals and hot celebrities. Which brings me to this very important cultural update…

Sigourney Weaver and Alan Rickman on the set of Galaxy Quest (1999)

Do you know what you’re looking at? That’s right: it’s bisexual chaos incarnate. This amazing photo features one Sigourney Weaver and one Alan Rickman, both wearing jumpsuits on the set of Dean Parisot’s 1999 satire Galaxy Quest. And while we can’t tell exactly what’s going on in this photo, it’s safe to say that Rickman and Weaver were engaging in some serious chicanery onset if their expressions are to be believed.

As many folks are pointing out in the comments, Weaver, at 50, looks absolutely amazing, which is nothing out of the ordinary. Weaver tends to look amazing at any age, in any role, in any outfit, and with any hairstyle. Some people are just gifted like that.

But there’s something else going on here, which is that Weaver had to wear a breastplate for the role, and in the photo, she’s showing it off proudly. According to one commenter, “Weaver had a padded prosthesis as character Gwen DeMarco. Interviewed in Never Surrender: A Galaxy Quest Documentary (2019), director Dean Parisot said that during filming Sigourney “had these big fake breasts that she kept throwing at us, and she wouldn’t take off the blonde wig.”

Honestly it sounds like she was just getting into character and having a great time with it! We know less about what Rickman was doing when this photo was taken, but he seems to be in on the joke. Again: bisexual chaos!

Rickman and Weaver, of course, weren’t the only actors heating up the cast, which also included Sam Rockwell, Daryl Mitchell, and Tony Shalhoub. It was a pretty hot set! It was also the film that gave us this GIF:

I don’t know what else there is to say other than…enjoy. Bisexuals, gorge on this fantastic feast of a film whenever you get the chance. If only we had a way of taking Tim Allen out of it entirely!
