Vivian Jenna Wilson landed her first fashion modeling gig with queer clothing brand WILDFANG.
The 21-year-old trans icon posted a series of photos on her Instagram over the weekend showing off the collaboration.

In the cover image, she rocked a 40-foot-long braid long enough to spell out her first name. Her outfits, all designed by WILDFANG, included a pair of black shorts with a matching black vest and a button-up in the Calla Lillies dark teal pattern. Needless to say, she looked incredible.

Her next outfit included a suit in the brand’s carnation navy pattern. All of the outfits Vivian modeled are part of WILDFANG’s gender-inclusive Empower collection.
Not only did Vivian model for the gender-neutral brand, she also co-designed an item of her own: a white T-shirt reading “Existing Shouldn’t Be Revolutionary.” The proceeds for the shirt design will go to The Trevor Project, a non-profit organization for LGBTQ+ youth.
When asked about the shirt, Vivian told People Magazine that she didn’t want to come up with a slogan as it wouldn’t feel authentic, and chatted with WILDFANG CEO Emma McIlroy until they landed on something that felt right.
Vivian has remained quite humble when it came to people praising her, acknowledging that she comes from a place of privilege as Elon Musk’s only daughter. Her current prominence in the public eye stems from Elon Musk disowning her and attacking trans rights as a petty way to show his disapproval.
Before this year, Vivian mostly chose to stay out of view, but her father’s continual insertion of himself into American politics has urged her to come forward publicly to reveal firsthand experiences of having him as a father, citing him as uncaring and quick to anger. Vivian is someone who has garnered a dedicated fan base and is generally beloved by people, as opposed to her father, who is hated by most reasonable, functional adults, despite his need to be liked and praised. I can only imagine how much it eats him up inside for Vivian to be accepted by many as her true self while he is deservedly vilified by the public.
I hope Vivian continues to flourish and follow her dreams, while Elon keeps heading down his self-destructive path, which in the long run will likely leave him alone with no real friends.
