Rapper Young M.A. Directed Lesbian Porn for PornHub

This rapper is going from behind the mic to behind the camera.

Rapper and out lesbian Young M.A., who was nominated for best new artist at the 2017 MTV Video Music Awards, has directed a porn film for website PornHub, the website shared in a press release.

This makes Young M.A. the first mainstream artist to direct a film for the site. The film is titled The Gift, and is the first in Pornhub Premium’s series “The Visionaries Directors’ Club,” an effort to diversify porn production and “create more varied content paying particular attention Pornhub’s female audience.”

The Gift features a slew of female adult entertainment stars and makes use of some of Young M.A.’s music in several scenes. And it fights back against the male gaze in pornography.

“Similar to how I approach songwriting, I came into this process with a certain vision that I wanted to replicate. I wanted it to be authentic and genuine to who I am,” Young M.A said. “I’m confident that the final product is something everyone can enjoy.”

In a behind-the-scenes video, Young M.A. said the video is about a young virgin.

“It’s her birthday,” she explained, “and a friend kinda like sends her off to this place where she’s mysteriously walking through different rooms and stuff and finding out, you know, paradise.”

Young M.A. is a Brooklyn-bred rapper who captured the ear of the music industry with her song “OOOUUU,” which has been remixed by Nicki Minaj.
