Sushant Divgikr, the genderfluid voice of Cho Hyun-ju in Squid Game Season 2, is using their checks from Netflix to support an Indian trans woman seeking her doctorate, Them reports.
Dr. Ruth John Paul is the first transgender woman in India’s history to be admitted to a postgraduate medical program. Were it not for Divgikr’s donation, Paul would have been forced out of the program due to a lack of funds, losing her chance at a degree entirely.

Divgikir, also known as her drag persona Rani KoHEnur, said on Instagram, “I got my payment from Squid Game 2 early on special request because I wanted to help fund a wonderful transgender doctor for her Post Graduation course! Because otherwise she would have lost her job and her degree! And we ain’t allowing that on Rani’s timeline!”
“I knew that I would be able to cover the fees for Dr. Ruth John Paul, who I have worked with in the past at the first transgender clinic in Hyderabad where she was working tirelessly to help transgender people with healthcare and sustain basic health requirements, which sadly many governments in our country don’t seem to pay attention to.”
Divgikr donated this money in spite of her house having recently burnt down. She hopes to help other people like Dr. Paul further their careers. Squid Game season 2 is currently on Netflix.
