This Lusty Editorial About West Hollywood Is Stunning

· Updated on May 28, 2018

This editorial, Jon Wes, explores sexuality and fetishism in a high-gloss, color-popping – almost hallucinational – L.A. world. As a photographer working predominantly in fashion, I rely on our desire for beauty and seduction as ways to captivate and tell stories.

The inspiration for the series came from the neon lights in West Hollywood and the polarity in the area between the sophisticated and the raunchy and grimy. I wanted to capture a portrait of West Hollywood life in an exaggerated, tongue-in-cheek manner.

Now more than ever, I feel it is important to celebrate a city based on tolerance and solidarity. My work often reflects some sort of utopic universe, as I am naturally drawn to beauty in many ways. This editorial encapsulates these concepts in a lustful setting.
