Beyoncé just dropped the Cécred secrets to her wash days.
When fans think of Beyoncé they think of her extensive music catalogue, her impeccable performances, a face card that never declines, and her Virgo work ethic. But they also think about her being a blonde bombshell. Yoncé is known for her long, flowing honey-colored hair and even made the world stop when she went platinum blonde for Renaissance.

Beyoncé went platinum, and the internet went wild
At the premiere of her concert film, Beyoncé stole the show with a brand new look that sent fans into a frenzy.
Speaking of hair, growing up with a mom (Ms. Tina) who ran a hair salon, Bey has learned a thing or two about hair care. Whether she’s styling wigs, rocking extensions, donning short cuts, a wearing a flowing mane, or letting her natural hair loose, Beyoncé shines. With the introduction of her Cécred hair care line to her portfolio she’s sharing family secrets on how to get your hair as luxurious and healthy as can be.
Entertainment with an edge
Whether you’re into indie comics, groundbreaking music, or queer cinema, we’re here to keep you in the loop twice a week.
On Sunday, Queen Bey dropped a video sharing what her Cécred haircare line does for her.
“It has been such a special experience seeing all of your #cecredwashday rituals all over my timeline,” Beyoncé wrote in her Instagram caption. “I just had to join in with something I had in the archives 🥰.”
Beyoncé shared from beginning to end what her wash day with Cécred looks like. For many Black people, wash day isn’t just a simple hair routine, but a ritual that’s deeply cultural and intimate. But Beyoncé let fans into her world to see the various Cécred products she uses to keep her hair healthy.
“Being disruptive and challenging everything people feel should be the process has always been exciting to me,” Beyoncé added. “My hair and music seemed to do that a lot over the years…”
And she’s not lying, as the internet couldn’t stop talking about Beyoncé coloring her anything outside of her trademark blonde. Remember her brunette era? Not to mention, Beyoncé, and other Black women, navigate stigma around their hair’s texture, health, and length – with many assuming that if you’re wearing a wig, then you don’t have long or healthy hair of your own.
Wigs can be worn by anyone (including Beyoncé), for whatever reason you choose, and long hair doesn’t signify healthy hair. So Beyoncé was quick to show off the result of taking care of her color-treated tresses for 25 years.
“Maintaining 25 years of blonde on natural hair through all the experimenting I do has played a huge part in developing @cecred’s products,” Beyoncé wrote. “It’s the hardest to keep color-treated hair healthy and strong, but @cecred is here. All quality, with NO shortcuts. Congratulations to the entire CÉCRED team for contributing to developing award-winning products. 💕”

Fans are really loving that Beyoncé is doing press again. Known for shying away from the public eye, save performing, Beyoncé has been showing up to fan meet & greets, hosting activations (like she did for Cécred), interviewing for major magazines, and posting content on social media of her speaking, a rarity indeed. So to get an inside look into her hair care process, well, the BeyHive is overjoyed.
And in case you were wondering about the cost it takes to get Cécred hair like Bey, here you go.
Happy wash day!
