Megan Thee Stallion just sent her anime fans into a frenzy with her latest announcement.
The “Hot Girl Coach” is continuing her snake-themed run with her upcoming track “BOA.” The single follows her number one diss track “Hiss” and for Megan’s Hotties can’t wait for this new song to usher in “Hot Girl Summer.” And her anime fans can’t get enough of the One Piece and Playstation-inspired artwork she released.
Megan is no stranger to anime nor cosplay and her Boa Hancock-inspired artwork is top notch. Now, her fans can’t rest after this cryptic post Megan made about another anime. But if it’s anything like her “BOA” artwork, fans can expect something major.

Megan Thee Stallion is a cosplay goddess. Here are the 5 looks to prove it
For Megan Thee Stallion’s birthday, let’s take trip down memory lane to check out some of her best anime cosplay moments.
Earlier in the week, the “Savage” rapper posted to Instagram Stories, with a screenshot from her “I Think I Love Her Freestyle,” alluding to an anime sample for her upcoming track.
“Y’all will never believe what anime sample I got cleared for my album,” Megan wrote. “This has never been done / very hard to do. Y’all are going to scream.”
Megan has been known to feature her favorite anime in her social media posts and in her cover shoots. Fans remember her My Hero Academia-inspired 2019 Paper Magazine cover shoot and her recent Death the Kid cosplay for the 2024 Crunchyroll Anime Awards announcement. In 2021, Megan also stated that YuYu Hakusho “has my favorite opening music on any anime lol.”
Naturally, with this insight, anime Hotties are trying to figure out which anime sample was cleared. Will it come from Neon Genesis Evangelion?
Or perhaps it’s a Sailor Moon sample, since Megan cosplayed the titular heroine during a 2022 performance in Tokyo, Japan.
Or maybe it’s the obvious choice, YuYu Hakusho.
But we can’t rule out Naruto: Shippuden, one of the most popular anime out there.
However, since “BOA” hasn’t been released yet, the sample could from One Piece.
Needless to say, the options are endless, especially when anime changes their intro and outro songs with each new arc. Not to mention, Megan has influenced both popular anime Jujutsu Kaisen (where she became a meme as the crush of the show’s main character) and My Hero Academia (where her image and persona inspired the looks MHA character Mirko). Regardless, fans can’t wait for “BOA” and Megan’s upcoming album to arrive.
“BOA” premieres on May 10.
