Tituss Burgess is taking the lead in this queer Broadway masterpiece

Cole Escola’s Oh, Mary! is already a gay American institution. The nonbinary icon and playwright gave us everything with their interpretation of Mary Todd Lincoln as a bratty, dramatic wannabe showgirl, and even though Escola has since stepped away from the title role, Oh, Mary! shows no signs of stopping. GLOW actress Betty Gilpin took over the role early this year for a limited engagement, and now a new queer superstar is preparing to step into Mary’s shoes.

That’s right! Literal hero Tituss Burgess is donning his finest bratty curls to take over the lead role for three weeks only, starting on March 18th.

The actor who made Titus Andromedon a household name is a perfect choice to play the premier unhinged diva of the 19th century. Not only that, he’s Cole Escola’s fantasy for the role.

Gays, get your tickets now, because that run is going to be sold out as hell.
