Bob the Drag Queen is coming to avenge Peppermint on ‘The Traitors’

Spoiler alert for Season 2 of The Traitors.

On the second season of The Traitors, a Scottish castle bore witness to a reality TV tragedy: RuPaul’s Drag Race star Peppermint was the first contestant to be voted out of the game by her fellow players, despite not being one of the titular traitors.

Now, Season 3 is almost upon us, and it brings the perfect opportunity for Drag Race vengeance: Season 8 winner (and Peppermint’s longtime friend) Bob the Drag Queen will be on the cast.

Bob is a fan favorite from Drag Race, and she hasn’t been part of a reality TV competition since she walked away with the crown in 2016. Needless to say, the Drag Race fandom is beyond excited to have her back on their screens.

For the uninitiated, The Traitors is essentially a giant game of mafia. From a cast of 21 players, a chosen few are selected to be the traitors, picking off the other players (aka “faithfuls”) one by one. Each episode, the faithfuls get a chance to fight back with a group vote to banish another player. It’s all about social prowess, deception, and strategy — all things Bob has in spades.

Bob isn’t the only queer star on the cast. The season will also feature Survivor fan favorite Carolyn Wiger, Selling Sunset star (and wife to G Flip) Chrishell Stause, The Biggest Loser trainer and host Bob Harper, and former Bachelorette Gabby Windey. There’s even literal royalty to match Bob’s queendom in the form of Lord Ivar Mountbatten, the first openly gay member of the British monarchy’s extended family.

And of course, the whole shebang is fronted by the legendary Alan Cumming, whose hosting is nearly as fabulous as his outfits. The release date for Season 3 isn’t here yet, but according to the cast reveal, the season is “coming soon to Peacock.”
