Hunter Schafer and Rosalía have stayed close friends since their secret five-month relationship back in 2019 — but in Euphoria’s upcoming third season, fans will finally get to see the duo in action.
The Spanish music superstar is one of several new cast members announced for Euphoria Season 3 today, while Schafer was named as among the returning cast, along with series mainstays like Zendaya, Jacob Elordi, and Sydney Sweeney, among others.
“If there’s anything that excites me as much as creating a good melody or writing a great lyric it’s becoming a better performer every day,” Rosalía said of joining the show. “Euphoria has been my favorite series over the last few years and I couldn’t be happier and more grateful to be acting alongside all of these incredibly talented people that I admire so much and contributing my ‘granito de arena’ to bring Sam’s vision to reality to make magic. I can’t wait to share what we’re doing!!!”

Schafer told GQ about her relationship with Rosalía in an interview with GQ last year. “It’s been so much speculation for so long,” she said. “Part of us just wants to get it over with, and then another part is like, ‘It’s none of anybody’s f*cking business!’”
“I have really beautiful friendships with people that I was once romantically involved with,” Schafer added. That includes Rosalía, who Schafer said is “family no matter what.”
Euphoria Season 3 is currently filming, and it’s expected to release on HBO in 2026. Until then, we have one on-set picture of Zendaya to tide us over.
