Here’s your first taste of the new season of ‘Interview with the Vampire’

Interview with the Vampire fans rejoice! The love, longing, and lust return in the latest season two trailer.

AMC’s seductive series is back for another season and the latest trailer has fans yearning for more. IWTV, an adaptation of the popular film of the same name, captivated fans with its intense romance between lovers and vampires Louis de Pointe du Lac (Jacob Anderson) and Lestat de Lioncourt (Sam Reid). Now, separated from Lestat, Louis, along with teen vampire Claudia (now played by Delainey Hayles) pick up the pieces of their lives in a new country with a new crew of vampires.

The series will continue to oscillate between the year 2022, where Louis recounts his life to journalist Daniel Molloy (Eric Bogosian) and the 1940s, but the new setting is now in Paris, France. Louis and Claudia have escaped to the “City of Lights” where they discover the Theatre Des Vampires and the Old World Vampires it houses. Past and present collide when Louis meets fellow vampire Armand (Assad Zaman) and the two pursue a love affair that brings its own set of ramifications in the past and for the future.

In addition to the return of Louis, Lestat, Claudia, and Armand, new bloodsuckers are joining the IWTV coven. David Costabile, Roxane Duran, and Bally Gill join as Leonard, Madeleine, and a character simply known as “Real Rashid” respectively. While not much else is know about these newcomers, we do know that Costabile’s Leonard is expected to have an encounter with Daniel, someone who continues to be in the orbit of vampires.

IWTV premiered in 2022, mesmerizing viewers and critics alike. It also became the springboard for AMC’s Anne Rice Immortal Universe, which now features the TV series Mayfair Witches (also entering its second season) and an untitled series about the mysterious, secret society the Order of the Talamasca (a group of psychic detectives investigating supernatural beings). With the latest IWTV trailer, fans can’t contain their excitement for the upcoming season.

The bloodlust continues when season two of Interview With the Vampire returns on May 12 on AMC.
