After four horny and educational seasons, Sex Education is coming to an end. In the latest trailer ahead of the final season, the students adjust to a modern new school and their education—in more ways than one—is taken to new heights. “Get your tissues ready,” says Netflix. “Let’s finish together.”

Season four kicks off with big changes for our favorite lovelorn teens. At the end of last season, a sex scandal shut their school down for good. Now the students have transferred to a much more progressive school, where they discover that paradise isn’t all it’s cracked up to be.

For one, Otis (Asa Butterfield) encounters a rival teen sex therapist, O (Thaddea Graham), threatening his already precarious social standing. At the same time, he’s got to work on his sexting skills to pull off a long-distance relationship with Maeve (Emma Mackey). After Maeve relocates to an American school to study under cult author Thomas Molloy (Dan Levy), both she and Otis face new love interests while trying to keep their romance alive.

One character happily in the market for love (or lust) is Eric (Ncuti Gatwa). After breaking things off with bully-turned-closet-case Adam (Connor Swindells), Eric is shown living his best single life hooking up in a dressing room. But the trailer teases that Adam isn’t quite out of the picture just yet. In one of the final clips, Eric tells Adam, “You have to believe you deserve good things. You have to love yourself.”

Through all of this, Otis’s mom—actual sex therapist Jean (Gillian Anderson)—is struggling to balance her career with raising a new baby. She starts a new job under a new boss (Hannah Gadsby) and joins a support group as single momhood takes a toll on her mental health—all while a rift is forming between her and Otis.

The farewell season is shaping up to be an emotional ride, but fortunately, we’ve got an extra long runtime to look forward to before saying goodbye. All eight episodes of the final season of Sex Education—including the movie-length finale—will be available to stream on Netflix September 21.
