Actor, producer and singer Billy Porter has gone viral with a blunt message aimed at those who still say they’re “undecided” over who to vote for in November.
In a TikTok he filmed while walking along the famous High Line in New York City (an elevated walkway on an old train track), Porter said, “Undecided about what?”
He removes his shades and gives a questioning look to the camera.
“Undecided about WHAT? That’s all I’m going to say.

“Pull y’all sh*t together. It’s democracy or not. And we all know that. They saying the quiet part out loud now. When people show you who they are, believe them and believe them the first time.
“We did not. Many people held their noses and voted for him. People who know better. TWICE, some of them. And now they’re writing books. Now they’re scared, they’re writing books.”
Porter says he’s not naming names but may do so in a future video.
@theebillyporter *POLITICS ALERT* The decision is clear y’all Democracy or NOT! This shit ain’t regular or normal. My first and last question is: Undecided about WHAT?!?! #democracy #savedemocracy #keepdemocracy #healdemocracy #voteblue #highlinechronicles ♬ original sound – Billy Porter
“You people in positions of power let this happen. You held your noses and voted for this man.
“And now, ‘He doesn’t deserve to be anywhere near the office…’ He NEVER deserved to be anywhere near the office and y’all knew that first time,” adds Porter.
The video has over 37,000 views on TikTok.
“Say it louder for the people in the back,” was one popular comment.
The message also proved popular on Twitter.
Undecided about what? It's democracy or not. That's it. That's the fucking question. Y'all need to stop pretending it's a difficult decision, because it's not. Either you support American democracy — or authoritarian fascism and dictatorship. 😳👇 pic.twitter.com/satmzC5n6Y

Former supporters turn on Trump
The “they” Porter is referencing when he talks about people in positions of power is open to debate. More than a dozen people who served in the Trump administration have since denounced the former President and said they would not vote for him again. Some have written memoirs that include references to their time in the White House.
Porter is a vocal Democrat supporter. He stood alongside President Joe Biden at a Juneteenth event at the White House in the summer. He also attended the recent Democratic National Convention.
Kamala Harris is currently marginally ahead of Donald Trump in opinion polls, including in swing states. However, the race remains close. Some Democrats are concerned that Trump may outperform on the day of the election, as he did in 2016 against Hillary Clinton. Time is ticking away for “undecided” voters to make a decision.
For one X user, the choices are very clear.
“We just don’t know enough about the specifics of Kamala’s policies” is endlessly irritating to me. At this point your choice is eating a sandwich or plate of broken glass. You’re telling me you need to know more about the sandwich? #CNN pic.twitter.com/HhYzdbxDpx
