Caitlyn Jenner praises Trump’s victory and is rewarded with MAGA transphobia in return

Longtime Donald Trump supporter Caitlyn Jenner was among the right-wing figures to celebrate his election victory yesterday.

Jenner, who is trans, posted a photo of herself alongside Donald Trump and Elon Musk to X. She said, “Hope is back in America. These two men will single-handedly save western civilization and that starts with a strong United States of America. I am here and at your service and forever indebted to your sacrifice for this country. Let’s Make America Great Again!”

Jenner’s tweet resonated with many, earning over 130k likes. However, if she expected universal praise from Trump’s supporters, this turned out not to be the case. Her complimentary words for Trump and Musk prompted many to reply with a wave of anti-trans comments.

One supportive responder claimed that Jenner, “the most visible and vocal trans advocate in America” praising Trump signified that MAGA is the unity ticket.

However, Jenner shot back, “I am not a trans advocate. I wouldn’t wish it upon anyone. But, I am a trans person.”

That Jenner has little interest in advocating for trans rights is not surprising. She has consistently spoken out against allowing trans women to compete in women’s sports (despite taking part in women’s golf tournaments herself).

Donald Trump takes swing states

Donald Trump won five of the seven swing states, with two left to call. He also won the popular vote.

Unlike Jenner, many Kamala Harris supporters have been left stunned and shaken by Trump’s comeback.

“It’s a war on women,” singer-songwriter Billie Eilish wrote on her Instagram story.

Bette Midler, a longtime vocal critic of Trump, deactivated her X account following his victory.

Barbra Streisand posted a tweet saying, “There are no words left.” This prompted gloating from thousands of Trump supporters.

Kamala Harris conceded defeat yesterday and addressed supporters outside her old alma mater, Howard University in Washington DC. She repeated her words on social media, saying, “My heart is full today—full of gratitude for the trust you have placed in me, full of love for our country, and full of resolve.”

“The outcome of this election is not what we wanted, not what we fought for, but hear me when I say: the light of America’s promise will always burn bright.

“In our nation, we owe loyalty not to a president or party, but to the Constitution of the United States, and to our conscience and our God.

“My allegiance to all three is why I am here to say, while I concede this election, I do not concede the fight that fueled this campaign: The fight for freedom, for opportunity, and for fairness and the dignity of all people.

“To the young people watching, it is okay to feel sad and disappointed.

“On the campaign, I would often say: When we fight, we win. Sometimes the fight takes a while—that doesn’t mean we won’t win.

“The important thing is: Don’t ever stop trying to make the world a better place.”
