A GOP candidate is proposing such extreme and hateful policies that even her local Republican party wants nothing to do with her.
Lori Kauffman, of Dorchester, is running for Massachusetts State Committee next month. She will appear on the March 5 ballot for Republican voters in the state’s First Suffolk District.
However, recent social media postings have raised eyebrows. On Saturday night, she posted to X, “Don’t forget I’ll likely get voted into office on March 5. Long term goals are to ban same sex marriage (never should have been legalized) and trans will be illegal. Yes illegal.
“I will also exile all Jews.”

Yikes.

Kauffman’s X account offers plenty of other anti-trans tweets. In a posting a few days earlier, she also said she was proudly anti-semitic.

Massachusetts GOP urges people not to vote for Kauffman
The Massachusetts Republican Party has issued a statement distancing itself from Kauffman.
“Ms. Kauffman’s reprehensible rhetoric has no place within the Republican Party or in the broader American political dialogue. The MassGOP unequivocally denounces her vile language and has taken every measure within its capacity to disassociate from Ms. Kauffman,” it said in a press release.
It went on to say, “We urge the residents of the First Suffolk District to vote against this candidate.”
A spokesperson for the party also told the Boston Herald, “Lori Kauffman was banned from attending any party events.”
The local GOP party also posted a message to X saying it got fed up with Kauffman several months ago.
Ms. Kauffman’s hateful rhetoric was addressed via a resolution by the Massachusetts Republican State Committee on December 15, 2023. Committee Member Marty Lamb introduced the resolution and it passed unanimously. The MassGOP has NO tolerance for discrimination.#mapoli #MassGOP pic.twitter.com/nVLOrxxV9O

In that instance, it passed a resolution condemning Kauffman’s antisemitic postings and urged her not to run.
Voters get to pick one man and one woman in the March 5 election. Kauffman is running against one other woman on the ballot, Elizabeth Hinds-Ferrick, who has a doctorate in law and policy at Northeastern and is currently assistant director at the state Department of Transitional Assistance.
