After spending the last four years blasting President Joe Biden, Georgia Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene appears to be demonstrating sudden concern for his welfare. 

But nobody’s buying it.

Biden was diagnosed with Covid late last week and went to his beach home in Delaware to recover. On Sunday, he quit his campaign for re-election and endorsed Kamala Harris. Biden said at the time he would post a televised message to the nation later this week. 

Biden’s lack of public appearance appears to have riled Greene. 

Yesterday, the MAGA diehard tweeted, “Where is Joe Biden? Serious question. Is he ok?”

Greene’s sudden concern was interpreted by many to be fake. Among those to question it was Claudia Conway. The 19-year-old daughter of former Donald Trump advisor Kellyanne Conway, tweeted back, “Are you okay, babe?”

Conway’s tweet has been liked over 73,000 times, at the time of writing. 

Claudia Conway (daughter of Kellyanne and her former husband, George Conway) first made waves back in 2020, when she was just 15 and started posting anti-Trump messages to TikTok. 

Conway was not the only one to mock Greene’s supposed concern. 

Condé Nast legal affairs editor Luke Zaleski reposted a video of Greene previously calling Biden a “piece of sh*t.”

Lauren Boebert demands “proof of life”

After Joe Biden posted his statement on Sunday announcing he was not going to run for re-election, some Republicans, such as JD Vance and Speaker Mike Johnson, have voiced the opinion that if Biden’s not “fit” to run for re-election, then he’s not fit to be President and should resign. 

This is despite the fact Biden said nothing about his physical or mental well-being in his announcement. He said, “I believe it is in the best interest of my party and the country for me to stand down.”

Others, especially within the MAGA wing of the Republican Party, are pushing wilder conspiracy theories. Greene’s faux concern for Biden’s welfare feeds into this. And she’s not alone. Fellow America First lawmaker Lauren Boebert went further, tweeting a demand that Biden provide “proof of life”. Boebert also asserted that “hiding is not acceptable.”
